    Why Should We “Shit Hole Countries”

    Over the past few weeks I have been hearing and seeing people talk about want Mr. Trump calls “Shit Holes”.  Did he even think about why these countries are the way they are or does he just assume like many others that it is just the people.  Most of these countries were colonised by white european countries like Britain, France, Denmark and Spain, also the United States of America.  Over the past 200 years or more the pure capitalization of the world have raped and pillaged these countries for their resources.  Giving little regard for the people of these countries.   We have built a world on the back of the less fortunate and people like Mr. Trump are personally responsible for these crimes against humanity.

    They care little about anyone but themselves and how they can exploit people for their own personal gain.  They destroy the potential of people who could help develop the next big enhancements to the human condition, all for the a piece of green paper that if we were not around would not contribute anything to this world.

    So, why should we help out the people of these “Shit Hole Countries” and Mr. Trump puts it.  We should help them out of the kindness of our hearts.  But, the real people who need to help them are the extremely wealthy and those whose money has been handed down from generation to generation.   If it were not for them exploiting these people they may have developed much differently.  Hell, their quality of life could be much better and we may have actual peace in regions that are now in a state of perpetual conflict.

    It is time for us to grow as not just a countries or continents, it is time for us to grow as a species.  We must learn to not take advantage of each other and build a better world together.  It can be done, maybe not in my lifetime, but it can start with in it.  I am not naive to think it will happen overnight or it will be easy.  It will be a long and hard change and there will be many who will die before we evolve to that level as a society.   But as long as we push for the change and leave the world better than when we found it.  We have a chance.

    I for one have never been a fan of football.  I feel it promotes violence and further divides us.  How many time have we heard about fan rioting over the loss of there team?  Football has never united us it has only tried to divide us.  Please share this video and let people know it is time to hit the owners where it hurts them the most.  The Pocket Book.

    Final Project for Photography

    This is Photoshop project I had to take 3 pictures and a scan of a 3D object.  You might recognise the object, If you’re old enough.  It started out as an homage to one of my favorite 80’s Sci Fi movies, “They Live”.  The project kind of went south when I realized I could not use any words in the project.  If you have seen “They Live” you know what I am talking about, if not watch it.  The movie is a Metaphor for so many things in our society today.  From companies controlling how we live from day to day and how we blindly follow those we don’t really know.

  • Political Discussion and Active Listening

    I know I have focused a lot on the presidential primaries and caucuses over the past few months. There is also so other elections happening as well that can affect our country happening this year on the national and state level, we cannot forget about these. As November 8 approaches we all must be diligent in looking at these candidates. These people can be bought off by the big money interests that have been hindering our democratic process. These races include governorships, state and federal senate seats. If we elect those who can be bought in any office this is a bad thing for the states and country as a whole.

    So remember the closer we get to November 8 let us all do our research on the people running for these seats and share the information on all sides not just the GOP or the Democrats. There are other parties out there as well Like the Green party, independents and Libertarians. We need to start including more parties in these processes in order for us to make any progress in this country. When we encourage healthy debate, this means setting aside our own Bias and actually listening to one another and using critical thinking skills, this country can become a true world leader with standards and ethics that others can follow once more.

    REMEMBER WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT POINTS OF VIEW AND WHEN IT COMES TO DISCUSSING THESE WE MUST MAKE SURE TO UNDERSTAND THE DETAILS OF WHAT OTHERS ARE EXPRESSING. Here are a few steps to help us all understand one another.

    1. Know yourself, this means know your bias and set these aside when talking about these issues.
    2. Actively listen, make contact and show the other person respect by making sure you clarify how you understand what they are saying. This can be done by Paraphrasing (putting what the other person is say in your own words) this way if you are not understanding them they can can find a better way of expressing their view.
    3. While the other person is speaking DO NOT be trying to come up with a counter point in your head. When we do this we are not actually listening we are hearing. The difference is listening is an active process while, hearing is passive. I remember a quote from Jimi Hendrix and I am paraphrasing here Listen to the music do not just hear the music. When all we do is hear the music you miss the message.

    WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS PERFECTION FOR THIS IS TERM IS COMPLETELY SUBJECTIVE EVERYONE. ALL WE CAN DO IS MAKE OURSELVES BETTER AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF MAKING THIS A BETTER PLACE FOR ALL, NOT JUST FOR A FEW BUT FOR THE MAJORITY.
